Assistant Project Manager (Commerical Electrical industry)
Must be able to commute to Marrieta, GA
Responsibilities:
1. Complete Phase 1 Pre-construction milestones.
a. Build project on the server and include all folder structure.
b. Upload Contract and Bid to server.
c. Obtain Project Notes from business development.
d. Acknowledge plans are posted to server and fully reviewed. Contract set and latest revision.
e. Identify within the project scope the need for LV, Primaries, Secondaries and special gear needs (XFMR, Cranes, Heavy Duty Equipment)
f. Put Safety Manual template together.
g. Figure out AHJ and upload permit application template to the server.
h. Determine NEC Code adoption for the AHJ.
i. Determine who’s the electrical power authority.
j. Obtain from GC and upload main rough schedule and identify key milestone dates for the project.
k. Identify per contract temp power needs and timeline.
2. Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, contract scope, and performance standards.
a. Creation of a standard submittal package based on the project scope.
3. Generate and deliver to the operations team appropriate scopes, plans, layouts, and other jobs pertinent information.
a. Create take-offs for project sections to verify the accuracy of estimated units.
b. Make notes of potential slab perforations or in-slab conduit per plans.
c. Create take offs for main feeders.
d. Review scope for data closets.
e. Review electrical room layout and determine the need for gear labels.
f. Create layouts for underground feeders.
4. Produce electrical estimates to ensure all bill of materials are ready for ordering by the project manager.
a. Estimate wiring, rough in counts, trim out counts, underground pipe and feeders, service gear, lighting submittal package.
5. Assist PM with Change Order process as needed.
